Schaffer Manufacturing has achieved certification in ISO 9001:2015, the global standard used to evaluate and preview an organization’s performance around quality management and continuous improvement. The certification is confirmation, following a comprehensive third-party audit of Schaffer quality systems, that the company fulfills the requirements set out in eight quality management principles critical in meeting or exceeding customer requirements.

The Schaffer certification process included evaluating company systems and performance against established best practices in these areas:

  • Customer focus
  • Leadership
  • Involvement of people
  • Process approach
  • System approach to management
  • Continual improvement
  • Factual approach to decision making
  • Mutually beneficial supplier relationships

“Schaffer Manufacturing started with the premise that metal fabrication could be done better, smarter and more creatively. As a result, quality management and continuous improvement have been key drivers in our customer promise since day one,” said Steve Schaffer, owner and president. “So we are extremely proud that our now-certified systems, tools and philosophies – especially as a small company – give the marketplace confidence that Schaffer quality management will show up in the form of superior results and a vendor experience that stands out in the total supply chain.”
